Michael Bishop

Founder of Bishop’s Home Improvements is a graduate of Frostburg State University. Graduating in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Michael Bishop was born in Reisterstown, Maryland on May 30th, 1985. His parents Donna Bishop and Gary Bishop moved the family to Cumberland, Maryland to pursue an opportunity in owning and operating a small business, Lindy’s Restaurant. The restaurant was established in 1955 and was then taken over by the Bishop family in 1986. While pursuing his degree at Frostburg State University, Michael worked as a server as well as assisted with the management and daily operations of the family business. Growing up Michael found an interest in various aspects of daily maintenance of the restaurant which was mainly performed by his father.

He would soon find himself renovating many areas of the restaurant including the main kitchen, and dining rooms and fully remodeling the bathrooms. He has since moved to the Annapolis area finding work as a server/manager in 3 local restaurants as well as a handyman in his spare time. It has been a dream to one day start his own business in the Home Improvement and construction industry, hence the venture Bishop’s Home Improvements.
